BENGAL IRON AND STEEL CO.

The foundry was established in 1965 with a production capacity of 3000 tons per annum which was increased to 10000 tons in the year 2001. Company employ about 250 workers in foundry and 3 qualified engineers. Company has two cupolas which runs on alternate day and they produce Grey Cast Iron. The moulding is done by hand and we can cast upto 250 kgs single piece. The foundry is equipped with heat treatment furnace, machineshop, laboratory, patternshop and load testing machine. Company manufacture Manhole Covers, Gratings, Centrifugally Casted Pipe, Water Meter Boxes and also castings as per customer's drawing and design. They are actually buyer of raw materials like Pig Iron and Cast Iron Scrap. The annual capacity is 12000 tons.
